Sailing into speech courses

What has sailing got to do with Speaking or speech courses?

Well on the surface it has nothing to do with speaking  however to be a speaker of some standing you need to be the authentic you. I love ocean sailing so it is fair to say that it is a big part of me and therefore needs to be aired occasionally.  

Ocean sailing is different and a very experiencial there is the constant movement of an unstable platform there is the changing conditions of water and wind, there is the cramped living with your fellow team mates and there is the strange hours you live with to complete an effective watch system.

What a great source of food for learning all about people, principals, support and a million other facets of life and business.  Do you think I could get some fabulous material for my Speech Courses from being on the ocean waves?
